I checked the map. this bear valley place is pretty close to my home...so I'll contact the ride group tomorrow and confirm if there is still room. I'm planning to go. see ya there at the lodge. I plan to be there about 8 am. hope that is early enough.

That will be fine. Look forward to riding with you again - for a good cause. I will need a break after 3 BLM meetings in three nights plus observing the EPA on Wednesday work on air sampling and a risk assessment down at the creek. This is almost like a full time job!

I e-mailed joe that I am coming. Good luck with the CC meetings this week. Air sampling is work I have done before.

Weather alert posted today!!

MUCH COOLER UNSETTLED WEATHER FOR INTERIOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA

THIS WEEKEND WITH A THREAT OF PRECIPITATION...

A COLD TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OFF THE BRITISH COLUMBIA COAST

COMBINED WITH A VERY STRONG JET STREAM WILL DEEPEN AND IS FORECAST

TO MOVE ACROSS NORTHERN CALIFORNIA OVER THE WEEKEND. THIS WILL

RESULT IN SIGNIFICANTLY COOLER TEMPERATURES OVER THE AREA WITH

BREEZY CONDITIONS ESPECIALLY IN THE MOUNTAINS.

THE SYSTEM MAY ALSO BRING SOME PRECIPITATION TO PORTIONS OF INTERIOR

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL

BE COOL ENOUGH THAT PRECIPITATION COULD FALL AS SNOW AS LOW AS 5500

FEET OVER PORTIONS OF THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS AND 5500 TO 6500 FEET

IN THE SIERRA NEVADA. THERE MAY ALSO BE AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM ON

SUNDAY.

THE WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE EAST OF THE AREA SUNDAY NIGHT. WARMER

BUT BREEZY CONDITIONS...AT TIMES...EXPECTED NEXT WEEK AS HIGH

PRESSURE RETURNS TO NORTHERN CALIFORNIA.
