slurping noise in forks

Great. I just got my new YZ 80 forks for my TTR 125. When I got them I checked to see if they had good compression and rebound. The one fork makes a slurping noise after it is compressed and starts its rebound. The other fork makes a sound that resembles a fart as it is compressed. Does any one know what either of these is from and how to fix it. Thanks alot.

the sounds that you described are not normal, especially the one thats farting. don't want to be sitting behind that one when riding, p-ewww. the one thats "slurping" is probably real low on oil. sucking air instead of oil on the rebound stroke.

you'll need to service those forks. an oil change should cure the problem(s). let us know how you make out. ?

thanks alot. I suspected low oil but wanted to get some advice. I don't know what kind of oil or how to take apart the forks to put it in. Also how much do they need. Thanks alot

Come on someone has to no something about 1985 yz 80 forks. ALSO what is the air valve on top of the fork for. Nitrogen or just air I'm puzzled.
