How could a crash fix a engine noise?

Recommended Posts

i was riding last sunday and crashed my bike over a 80' double at the local track, fractured my collar bone and broke my scapula (shoulder plate). On the bike i bent the bars, crushed the throttle tube, blew a fork seal, and have a flat back tire. Its at my friends house for repairs. He said when he started it the little knock, we think its coming from the counter balancer, was not there, it only came present when you reved it up. Does this make any sense?

ya...the bearing in the counterbalancer is going bad. Tell your buddy not to start it anymore until you can get a lookin in there.

unless of course it wasnt the counter balancer and it was the skid plate and now the skid plate is slightly bent and cant vibrate until its got some more R's...

Shawn,

I went to Service Honda and found that within the Balancer section, items 8 and 9 are the only bearings...are these what you are refering to?

Thanks...
