Rear Tire for XR100

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a rear tire for my son's XR100. We mostly ride hard packed, central Texas trails. I'm thinking a Michelin Starcross MH3 would fit the bill, but would appreciate any input. Is 90/100-16 the correct size?

Thanks. MBH

I have a 2000 xr100r, and i just picked up a dunlop rear tire, the dimension it says in the manual is 3.00-16. The guy at the shop said that a 90/100-16 is the same thing and will work fine. Either or will do.

Oh yea, i hate putting on tires, they are so stubborn. I need one of those tire mounting machines.

'03XR100R- Soft/medium terrain anywhere from dry to slick/muddy. We tried a Starcross MS2 and it worked great for a few rides but it wore out very quick and chunked badly. We are currently running a Dunlop 773 and it is working excellent so far.
