2000 LC4 640 with blown head gasket?

Recommended Posts

I am new to this forum and am seeking advice on what to do about coolant in my crankcase oil - I assume this means I have a blown head gasket. It seems like a strange thing to happen since I only have about 12,000 kilometers on it and am the original owner and I have not ridden it too hard and have taken good care of it. Does anyone know if this problem is common and how great of an effort is it to repair this? Do I just need to remove the cylinder head? While I am at that, if this is the problem, should I work on anything else? Also, will I require any special tools to do this work? I work and live in Saudi Arabia and unfortunately, the KTM dealer is no longer here, so I will have to do this work myself. I need to know what parts I am going to need for this, as well, so I can order them and have them to me from the States.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
