torque specs

Recommended Posts

For some reason, I want to say the head bolts should be torqued to 94 ft/lbs. I could be wrong though. I'm sure someone on here knows exactly what the torque value is.

As far as the torque specs on the cam assembly bolts, I wouldn't torque those and just go by feel. Myself and many others have snapped these bolts while torqing down. Luckily the bolt head just broke off and I didn't have any threads stuck in the head.

cylinder head mounting bolt = 7 ftlbs

camshaft holder mounting bolt = 10 ftlbs

Cylinder head nuts are only 43 ft/lbs? Wow, is that right? If so I was WAY off. Maybe I was thinking about the rear axle nut or something.
