petcock leaking, how to seal?

Recommended Posts

I just finished doing my first valve inspection, and the fuel line hose that connects to the petcock was sealed so tightly that it pulled the connecting tube out of the petcock with the hose. After inserting the tube back into the petcock, it now leaks from that connection. Is there any kind of a sealant I can use on that connecting tube that will stand up to gas? Or am I better off just getting a new petcock? I just like saying petcock. Thanks.
