Clutch Issue

The issue is, when the bike is not running BUT still in gear it is very hard to move (roll) with the clutch pulled in. I did a turkey run today that was very muddy (95 miles).

When I start the bike the clutch works fine, when pulled in the bike doesn't want to walk and it grabs nicely when I let the clutch out.

It wasn't dragging when not running before today's ride.

Any idea what's going on???????

You might have overheated it from the mud and actually burned it down pretty good. Try it when the bike is cool. Mine has always dragged even when the clutch is in.

That's when I noticed it (when cooled down)I was unloading it from the truck. The bike is an 04 and has less than 300 miles on it.

I started the bike and went up the street and it was doing wheelies when changing into 2nd.

If I heated thing up and worn them down wouldn't it slip a little when getting on it hard (wacking the throttle and banging gears using the clutch)??

Do you have a wet clutch. they won't disengage if there is not oil being pumped into it. You most likely have no problem but I would pull off the cover and look and the plates just to be on the safe side.
