New Fox outdoor gear or... ???

Recommended Posts

Hey all - I've been lurking for a bit and decided this was the best group of people to turn to for my latest gear question.

My husband and I live in the Pacific Northwest and, as many of you know first hand, it can get wet and cold here! I bought him the Moose cordura outfit last year after he got caught riding in a November rainstorm and came home borderline hypothermic and he LOVES it! Now that it's starting to cool down, we're looking for something similar for me. The new Fox Women's Dakota jacket and Paula pant look very promising, but since it's "water resistant" coated nylon I'm a little concerned about how dry it's going to be. I'd love to get something that's cut for me instead of a small version of his outfit... but I don't want to throw down $200 for something that's going to look better than it works.

Any thoughts?

Thanks gals!

Hey, not sure if its what you're looking for, but alpinestars makes some nice womens jackets, including some for all-weather touring.

Jackets here: http://www.alpinestars.com/_lp/moto_jackets_women.htm

This one in particular http://www.alpinestars.com/_lp/details/4wdowntowndrystr.htm

seems suited if you want to ride in the rain. Has a warm removable liner if it gets too hot in there. Totally waterproof anyways.

Wow! Waterproof breathable AND "flattering fashion look" - thanks! That looks like a good one!
