Do I have a cylinder valve?

Recommended Posts

I keep reading about the cylinder valve, and everytime I modify my mid-valve I look for it. (2002 yz250f)

Under my mid-valve stack (away from the piston) there are two small holes, and if I blow air into the top of the damper rod, it comes out these two small holes. Is my cylinder valve inside of this passageway?

The cylinder valve is in the piece that you unscrew from the top of the cartridge. It also has the rod support bushing in it.

ok, next time I'm in there I'll see if I can pick it out. What kind of valve's are in the cylinder valves? Are they shims? Are they one-way or two-way valves?
