How to fix steel toe on my boots???

Recommended Posts

TT'ers,

Last weekend I lost the steel toe on my new Alpinestars M6 boots.

Actually I have the steel plate, but the staples and screws that held it on are gone!

I'm in a hurry to fix this since I'm riding the Rat Dog DualSport this weekend.

What's the best way to fix this for good... quick?

Matt,

When I lost mine off my new Tech 8s on their maiden voyage in Costa Rica, I wrote AS and they sent me a new set of toe guards. I took the boots to a shoe repair guy in Hillsboro to install and they've held up ever since. The staples are getting loose again, so using tiny screws does sound better.

See you at the Rat Dog this weekend! (Gonna be a wet dawg)

Mine would continually get ripped or fall off. I ended up gluing them on with liquid nails. I used a lot of it and then duct taped them on. Eventually the duct tape wore off, but the kickers stayed on. It's about time to do it again though.
