42 Pilot Jet on '05 CRF250R

Recommended Posts

Does this really help the instant "bog" I've got a new '05 "R" model with twin-air powerflow, Power-Now complete system, and DR.D Race exhaust. Instant throttle bog, but does clean up. Went to a 175 main... mistake?

The stock pilot on your bike is already 42.

I have a similar setup to you, 05-R with Twin air kit. So far I am at a 178 main and a 55 leak jet. My bike will bog on the stand if I crank the throttle very fast but it doesn't do it when riding.

I think my AP squirt is strong with the 55 leak jet, but possibly too early/long so I am going to try a taller diaphram to shorten the duration and fiddle with the linkage adjustment screw to set the start point of the squirt.

I've got it dialed. 175 Main, clip on needle in 5th. position, fuel screw out 2 1/2 turns. No more bog, the bike rips!
