Thumpers for freestylte

Recommended Posts

A friend is looking for a freestyle bike. He use to jump a little back in the day. He is deciding to sell his street bike to get into dirt. He has riden my bike and really was impressed with the bike. I am not a big jumper so I have no advice. I told him that I would post it on the site

His questions:

Weight difference an issue?

Can you whip, or move them around the same in the air?

Any help or experiences?

Long time lurker, never a post.

I'm sure this boils down to rider skill being 90% of it. I've seen a guy do freestyle on a KTM 520 SX and he was awesome. I've seen guys pound their skulls into the ground with lighter 2-strokes that should be more "whipable." Mind you, I'm no freestyler...I don't like wheelchairs that much!
