luggage questions

Recommended Posts

Anyone use luggage on their bike? I want to go camping alot and need a good way to carry gear. I am specifically looking at:

1. Wolfman enduro tank bag

2. Dry bag saddlebags

Both are offerred at Aerostich and look like they would work fine. My concern is that the exhaust pipe may get too hot for saddlebags. I'd like to be sure before I buy. Another option is the Wolfman Alpha bag. It says it's designed for the KLR650. Would it work on my KLX? THANKS DUDES!

You know not to hijack anyones post here but I have seen a few people on here mention the doggie backpacks. I noticed they come in different sizes. Is this just the volume they hold or the actual dimensions on the straps and all of that. Maybe you can figure out what I am attempting to ask here?

Dog backpacks, huh? That is an interesting idea. Does it actually work? Waterproof? DIRTY! That is one HELL of a packing job buddy. I know what to get you for Xmas (and I'm not talking about $800 wheels pal!). How many times did you have to load that stuff to get it right?

Well flux it's kinda like this. I follow the backpacking rule of thumb when it comes to packing stuff. Don't worry about folding this and that, you can get more if you stuff. I had it packed different going to the mountains and it worked ok but I had to make some adjustments when coming back because I was trying to make up some lost time,(stopped at the casino in cherokee). It was actually on there pretty tight. Never budged the whole trip back. Now I have a rack so my packing may get a little neater anyway. Needless to say, I got alot of stares
