changing rear sprockets?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Want to change my DRZS' stock sprocket to a 47. Read previous posts that say to use allen to hold and turn the nut. Should I get rid of the stock nuts if I plan to change back and forth? If so, what is the proper size?

Also, my bike has 1400 miles on it. Do I need to get a new chain if I'm changing the sprocket?

TIA,

Paul
