02 exhaust pipe same as 04 pipe

I have an 02 exhaust pipe (not muffer) that I want to install on my 04 CRF450R. Are the 02,03, and 04's the same?

No, it won't fit. 02-03 are the same, 04 is different.

The header connects in a different place on the 04 so you cannot use the 02-03 header. You can use a complete 03 system on an 04 though.

The difference is the subframe mounts are about an inch apart as well as the muffler mount. Although I have a '04 Yoshimura full Ti system on my '02. I machined an aluminum bracket for the subframe and the Yosh muffler has a sliding bracket. It works and sounds great and is light as hell.
