Question on Installing Zip Ty

Recommended Posts

Got my Zip Ty and was putting it in, when I noticed that there were a couple spots where it became hard to turn. I called the place where I got it, and got two different answers on how far to keep turning. One guy said to turn until it won't turn anymore, and another said turn until you first get some resistance...Which one is correct? I figured you had to turn until it wouldn't turn anymore, just being careful not to use too much force...Thanks.

Put a little lub on your Zip Ty threads to keep it from welding itself to the carb through electrolysis. This may help you get past that "sticky" spot. Close it until it is fully seated, but don't twist if off or strip the threads.

That is the most important part of this process. The carburetor may be as much as $850 to replace.
