engine weights

I have searched and not found the answer to this question so I'm going to answer it myself and was wondering if anyone else has any interest in the difference in weight between the kicker and e-start engines. I will have one of each out and able to take to my veteranarians office where he has a scale certified to the tenth pound.

I'll post the results if anyone else wants to know for sure. The weights will be for the complete engine with no extras.

i will say 5-7 lbs difference.

I think burned is about right.

The battery is something like 6.5 lbs if I recall.

The total e start parts are like 13 lbs all together.

Bat

Motor

Relay

One way clutch

Gears

The kick parts add back like 3. For a total savings of around 10 lbs. ?

I dont think the shorter crank and different stator / magneto and ignition cover are gonna make much more diff. 1 lb?

I'll take the battery down as well and throw it on seperately just to get it's weight as well.
