WR426 fuel screw problems JD Anyone

Recommended Posts

James or Anyone that can help me out on this issue.

I have a 02' wr 426 (new 50mi. on it) and I just installed the JD kit and a zip-ty fuel screw. The bike started and ran fine, but when I tried to adjust the fuel screw it didn't matter which way I turned it, it had no affect. carb is set up as recommended per JD instructions. I live in central michigan below 1,000' temp is 70-75. and the fuel screw is at 1 5/8 turns. any help would be great.

If you can't feel a difference, then it's running slightly on the rich side. There isn't a problem with this normally. Set the fuel screw to 1 1/8 turns and spend some time riding to see how it performs.

A temp of 75F and above may run better with the red marked needle in the #5 clip position, but cooler temperatures will favor the blue marked needle you're using. Expecting weather to be cooler, stay with the blue marked needle.
