Suspension Set-up for my YZ450F

Recommended Posts

From searching the net and the forums I gather that my sag needs to be set at somewhere around 100mm. Right now everything on my bike is at the stock setting. I am about a 170 pound rider with my gear on and ride both MX and woods. I really dont know much about suspension and am looking for any advice. Any suggestions on where my forks and rear shock compression and rebound should be. I dont konw how many clicks in or out I should adjust it or if I should adjust it all.

I'm 165lb. I started by confirming my suspension was set where the manual said it should be, and it was. After 30" on an MX track I ended up: Forks - 1 click out(CCW) on the compression and left the rebound alone. Shock - HSC 1/4 turn softer and left the LSC and rebound at factory setting. It takes about 2 hours of track riding to really complete the suspension break-in.

Joe
