PLEASE Help, on my desicion ..........................

I ride a 2004 KTM 250 two stroke. I race Big 6 GP series, worcs races etc. I get beat up by that bike, and I think the 450 is to big.

What do you guys think about your 250fs can I match a 250 two stroke speed?

I'm between a novice and intermediate MX rider. I can keep up with the 250 2-smokes and the 450's just fine. Occasionally, I'll pass a few. I'd say go for it! Maybe try gearing, and a few engine mods...What about a bore or stroker kit?

I was at a MX track practice day recently and watched a rider on a YZF250 pass through everyone no matter what bike they were on. He looked like a pro amoungst amateurs. Its 90% rider 10% bike. For me I think I will stay fresher longer on a CRF250. I am fortunate to be able to buy a new 250 and keep my 450 because I want to find out for myself.

I think rider is a big percent in most cases,but you must also consider terrain.Anyone can pin the throttle in the open areas and thats where the big bores will always dominate.It would suck to pass the competition in technical stuff only to be overtaken in a wide open area.Consider the terrain you most often ride and what your competition can ride ie;open,vet classes.

You should practice more. Bike swapping is a waste of time and money.
