I have an X-ring chain with a stelth sprocket, stock front.

It still has no signs of wear and I have not had to adjusted the chain but once since I installed it 2 months ago.

Vortex front and rear with an RK chain. I ride 3 days a week and they lasted from March-August. Very affordable if you order right from Vortex.

I have the DID X-ring and Titax stainless steel on my YZF. It's over a year old now with virtually no sign of wear. When it's time for new ones on my CRF, that's the combo I'll be running. I think it was around $140 total from RockyMountain.

I have and Iron man/DID X ring combo and they both wear like iron. This is by far the best combo that I have used. I have an X ring on both my bikes and it holds up very well to riding trails 3 days a week in the winter in the pouring rain and deep mud.

Another vote for the Ironman/DID xring combo. I've had this set up for a few months now and it still looks brand new. The chain needed adjusting the first couple of rides, and has not stretched at all since. This is my first xring chain, and i'm sold on them. I had the DID ERT on before this one, and it needed to be adjusted after every ride. It never quit stretching.

It's in my sig..DID Gold which has worked great also. Keep in mind that I only ride MX/SX so im not in and out of water and mud on a regualr basis. Ive heard good things about the X-Ring chains but you may need a spacer for the countershaft sprocket.

ok im still looking at the did x ring and i want to get some ironman sprockets. but i want to know how to know how many links you need. and where do you recomend for getting the sprockets

Just get a 120 link chain and cut off what you don't need. I'm another Ironman/DID X-ring fan. The TT store has Ironman sprockets and if you call, they probably have the DID X-ring chain as well. The guys are very helpful and great to deal with. Their prices and service are the best I've encountered.

Anyone ever tried out the titanium combo from Sidewinder Sprockets? Buddy of mine outfitted his XR650L with them and swears by them now. They are a bit pricey of course.
