2004 KTM 525SX: got the JD kit - ? about baseline

Recommended Posts

James,

I just received the kit but am on the fence with which needle to go with. I know I need to install the #180 main. But on the needles I could rational either way; thus need your help please. In mid-summer, I would definitely go with the red needle for hot and humid. But with October approaching, the humidity is going down, (mid 60's dew point), and the temperatures are dropping but we're still in the 80's. Shall I go with the red needle for now in say the #5 position then switch to the blue needle in #3 when it get's a little cooler. Or can I just go straight to the blue needle in #3. Or something else? I know I'm making this too complicated. Thanks in advance. Also, shall I alter from the fuel screw recommendation?
