anyone using a FWW on CRF250R?

Recommended Posts

Just got my 2005 CRF250R, using it for offroad racing, it works pretty good out of the box.

I am thinking of a bit more flywheel weight to eliminate low rpm stalls, Trail tech makes 10 oz or larger, anyone tried one? what do you think? 10 oz (or bigger) seems like a lot of weight for such a small motor! (10 oz was too much on my 2004 CR250R- 2 stroke).

Thanks!

I'm running a 52 rear sprocket and it seemed to help out with the stalling.

My buddy was running a 53 in tight woods and that worked really good in the tight stuff.

I ran a 13oz too heavy but you could idle the smallest circle that the bike would turn and not stall. Switched to an 11oz better pull but still too heavy for AZ desert. If you ride alot of tight snotty/rock stuff its great. If you ride more open stuff go with a 9 oz. Ask they will make it (Trail Tech).

i use 11-oz fww (steahly) 52 rear sproket & rekluse auto clutch, perfect combo for the woods , also race tech gold valves & rear spring( 5.4 ) still testing the clickers & shim stack
