Lumpy running after washing

Recommended Posts

I bought a K'A'rcher pressure washer today - it's awesome - but after washing the DRZ I went for a ride and it ran a bit lumpy on a constant throttle on lowish engine revs (ie in traffic). This was well after it had warmed up and it pulled nicely when accelerating.

I'm wondering if I got water into the electrics or the carb and where I shouldn't point my nozzle when I'm jetwashing in future.

Cheers

Ian

Presssure washers are a good thing and yet they can be a total nightmare as well! They tend to push mud and water into seals and cause premature wear, they force water into electrical connections causing bad connections or short circuts . I have a 1300 psi washer that i use for my quads but I try to avoid the areas I mentioned. For My drz I try not to pressure wash it unless I really really have to. I like to use a soft bristle brush and suzuiki wash, that stuff really works good!
