Yosh SS pipe is gathering small pits of crud - how to clean?

When I look at the under side of the pipe from behind the rear tire, I see a small sea of pitted crud. I used simple green and then tried my fingernails, but the stuff is tacked on hard. This is just the beginning....if I never clean it it will build up to a caked on nightmare.

any one else getting these baked on specs of dirt on their Yosh Pipe or other pipe for that matter.?

scrub with wd-40 and a scotch brite pad. ?

thanks the bike is running so good these days. i swpped bikes with a XR-650R rider today.... His bike was a vibrating bus with a good motor. That bike is stock lighter then the S, but he swore my bike was more flickable.... and it is by far....I think he is sorry he rode the DRZ. My DRZ is so much more smoother then that bus of his.

not sayin that XR 650R is not a great bike. I'm sure if it gets into fourth gear it smooths out. it was nice to put the DRZ in perspective. I'm gonna ride more bikes.

I owned a Dr with a thumper racing 435 kit for 12 years before gettin the "bus". I'll never go back to riding mini-bikes (dr's) again during this incarnation!! ?
