klx 650 hot start difficulty

the klx650 c will stop running at a stop & will not restart without a boost, but lastnight would not restart with a boost. today it starts again.

valve clearances checked ok. i just got the bike so history is vague. approx 11k miles & doesn't appear to suffer blowby problems - clean swingarm. clean gastank. new spark plug. battery voltage is marginal.
