looking for rear d/s tire options

Recommended Posts

im using a trackmaster now on the rear it works great off road but ive got 1500km on it and it's toast. I have to ride at least 1/2 an hour on the road to get to the trails so as good as the tire is off road by the time i get there the tire is worn out. So my theory is if i buy a tire that may be a bit more road friendly i will have more quality(wheelie) time off road. Any suggestions on a tire that may suit me better.

The larger pirelli MT21s last quite well and are fairly aggressive. The 130 or 140 series are much more aggressive than the 120. The MT21s last pretty good on the road.

The monster TERAFLEX is super-aggressive and is a better than 1000 mile tire on my 650.

I've had two of the Kendas and the pavement really tears 'em up.

Kendas were awesome in the dirt nad so-so on the road. I tried a

Kings and it chunked really bad the first ride out. Good on the road

and absolutely miserable in the dirt. Gotta Dunlop D606 and it's got

250-miles on it and it still looks new. 90+ miles of that is on the

road. Solid on the street and hooks up nicely in the dirt.

We're going to be putting on 300 miles in Moab this weekend so I

imagine it'll be toast, but I will be buying another one. Awesome

tire so far...
