OT: Fox jersey repair

Recommended Posts

Just a bit OT here .... I just bought a fox jersey through ebay (.com.au) and the guy that shipped it put it in a package but without a plastic baggie, and as a result when I cut the package open I managed to snip the front of the jacket and put about a 15mm cut right smack bang in the middle of the jersey

The snip is in a plain black area of the jersey, and has a plasticy type of finish on it. I'm hoping the guy selling will be good enough to replace (but doubt it), but if he doesn't any recommendation on how best to repair? It seems like it'll easily rip further so I'm wondering if a bit of heat to melt it together, using something to bond it together (like a glue) or just a plain old bit of 100 mile an hour tape pasted over it....?

I don't have any Jerseys that are not ripped somewhere.

Maybe try one of those vinyl car seat repair kits or something... Not sure...just throwing ideas out there. I'm sure a taylor could patch it for you. I think thread would rip right through.
