Question about seal savers + KTM fork guard mod

Recommended Posts

I am ordering the parts to do the fork guard mod. Those of you that have done this, have you gone with the shorty or long seal saver? Where I ride in the winter, it tends to be very muddy with gritty soil. Would the long savers be best in this situation? Also a lot of shrubbery (manzanita and such)

It can be somewhat dusty where I ride, but once the rain season hits, it tends to stay pretty wet. I usually ride in two types of terrain, one is gritty red dirt and the other is sandy conditions (ie river beds). Is sand particle matter usually too large to compromise fork seals?

I could not agree more. I really like the fork guard look over the boots, but feel that I need more protection for the seals as well. Boots look so old, they remind me of my old 86 XR600...

I am just curious to see what are more beneficial combined with the guards, the long or short seal savers. Do you known of any problems with mounting the guards when using either one?
