Why back to Stock jetting after mods?

I installed a 150 main jet and 25 pilot in my "S" after doing the DJ kit, 3x3, and Yoshi full exhaust.

There is no particular reason I went with the 150, I figured after all the mods, the biggest jet I had would be a good place to start.

Burned and a few others suggested I go with a 142.5 or 140 main, which I am going to do because I'm no carb expert.

I am just curious as to why, after all the mods, do I go back to a 142.5 main, when that was stock.

I am no expert but it,s probably cuzz the needle diameter is smaller with the dj kit.This is only a guess
