Kibblewhite valves - Why can't I use stock valve springs?

Recommended Posts

The bike is almost all together and now I'm having second thoughts about using the stock valve springs. OK. So the Stainless vlaves are a bit heavier than the titanium ones. Those springs are super expensive. I just had the valve seats re-cut, put in a new rod, piston etc. I'm not a high revving rider. Whattaya think?

stainless valves with stock springs is like putting 5 rounds in a revolver and putting it up to your head and pulling the trigger.

ie. NOT! a good idea.

those valves will float a whole LOT easier and all it takes is 1 touch of a single valve to the piston and it all goes boom. price a new head, cylinder, crank assembly, 5 new valves and various other parts versus kw springs.
