It looks pretty dangerous because they're all racing eachother and maybe riding over their head. Look at those rocks

Am I the only one who thinks that looks kinda lame? Maybe it was the silly music on the video that made it that way, but this looks silly to me.

This stuff is packing stadiums in Europe (where Enduro guys are heroes). I for one, will be front and center at the Orleans. I gotta see this. Looks hard as hell to do, fast anyway.

Oh come on.. demise of offroad world. I think it will boost the market for offroad vehicles. Plus a great chance to see all your heros race, and see the entire race!

Not to mention:

American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) Sanctions EnduroCross

Pro-Motion Motorsports, the promoter of EnduroCross - the Indoor Off-Road race held inside the Orleans Arena on November 27, 2004 - has announced that the American Motorcyclist Association will the official sanctioning body for the event.

"This is great news for us and the off-road industry," claimed Tim Clark, co-promoter of EnduroCross. "The AMA has a steeped history of sanctioning the largest and most successful Off-Road events in America. We are proud to have their support for EnduroCross. This event has already garnered a tremendous amount of attention as we are expecting the top Professional Off-Road racers in the world to participate."

"We are equally excited to participate as the sanctioning body for EnduroCross," stated Doug Neubauer, Director of AMA Sports for the American Motorcyclist Association. "EnduroCross is a unique and innovative concept for the Off-Road industry. America has some of the top Off-Road racers in the world, and EnduroCross provides the opportunity for them to showcase their talents."

With the addition of AMA's participation, the prestige of a Number One AMA Championship plate is also available. "This is just more great news for EnduroCross," explained Clark. "Just like the AMA National Hare & Hound, the Hare Scrambles and the Enduro Series, EnduroCross will also have an AMA Championship plate that riders will compete for... a valuable achievement for both the rider, their sponsors and their supporting teams."

EnduroCross is the first Indoor Off-Road race of its kind in America. Completely indoors, spectator and television friendly, with track obstacles to rival the most difficult conditions mother nature has to offer. EnduroCross is an "Invitation Only" event for the riders. Tickets can be purchased at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas - 4500 West Tropicana Ave. or on line at www.OrleansArena.com or by phone by calling 1-888-234-2334.

EnduroCross is a Pro-Motion Motorsports production. For more information about EnduroCross go to www.EnduroCrossUSA.com

This race was SO cool. It was more then I had expected it was going to be from the little video I saw. MAXXIS did a GREAT job of putting this event together for the first year. They had to adjust the length of the semi's and main to fit the time schedule but I'm sure the riders didn't mind. The course was brutal and they were completing a lap in under a minute. If you were there you would know that's an impressive time!

I hope this type of event takes off in the future here in the states. I will definatly be back in Vegas next year.

Ryan Hughes won the main after some great racing throughout the night, the European riders were great to watch, I learned from them just being in the stands.

The infamous Art Eckman was the MC for night, and I can only hope that ESPN/or someone will have some coverage of this event.

P.S. I also walked away with a couple brand new MAXXIS tires for a 'steal'. Thanks guys for all the effort and a GREAT event!!! "I'll be back"

Without seeing it in person it looks like the demise of offroad to me too. Laps in under one minute and very commercialized. This will become harder and harder for the privateer guy to race. It will be good for spectators but very bad for those who ride.

I think it looks great! Out here the winter lasts a lONNNNGGGG time.

There is simply no place to get your fix unless you like the roundy round of the MX track.

I'd pay to watch it!
