I found a 3 jaw bearing puller at harbor freight only 15.88 and changed both bearing in less than 5 minutes does not damage the races at all 15 bucks spent and no headaches. Rick

Are you pulling them from the center or the outer race? If you're pulling from the inner race the bearing is toast whether it stays together or not.....

It pulls them from the center actually it never touches outside of hub or bearing races Rick

You're pulling on the inner race ? .....bearings are toast! You should never pull a bearing by the race that is NOT holding it in place, it forces the rolling elements into the race and brinnells(indents) the race surface, making for a notchy bearing!
