Need to replace Chain/Sprockets with stock gearing for DRZS

Recommended Posts

Just took a quick look on the TTStore and see all their stuff is for 14/47 gearing. I ride flat terrain and 15/44 is what I like. Anybody doing 15/44 sprockets besides ordering from Suzuki. I want steel front and back. Also a 112 O-Ring chain. Gonna page through DennisKirk and RockyMountain but just thought I'd ask here incase someone knows a particular brand with 15/44 available. Thanks.

www.rockymountainmc.com should have them, try calling TT during biz

hours first, they should be able to get you the 15 & 44.

I recently got a second set of rims for street and use 14/41, very

close to 15/44, and 14/47 for my dirt set. Lower number rears are

hard to find in steel and I had to get my 41 in aluminum from

www.sprocketspecialists.com 44 should be easier to find.

Bikezone.com I believe is where I got mine. They had an excellent guide that went through the available brands and teeth specifically for your bike.

I ordered a susnstar steel rear, pretty much the same as stock. When I took it off at 15000 miles, I was able to match the old rear with the new, no wear, couldn't believe it.

Now as to the front , significant wear, but I went with OEM sprocket, and that was slightly costly, but that's what I wanted and with the CSprocket problem some have gotten sprockets with thickness differences.

I did pay around $39 for the 44tooth steel

BTW, the sprocket nuts are made from real butter, the softest I've ever seen. I stripped 3 of them with a 12 point box end, highly reccomend getting a 6 point box end before tackling.
