Purchasing mini

Recommended Posts

Whats up guys, glad I found this board. I need opinions on what I should purchase my son. We are interested in racing and need direction on what to do. He is 5 and currently rides a Z50 and has improved his skills enough to start going to the tracks and practice. My local dealer is pushing a Cobra PW3 because he can run the O/I class, 4-6 50cc, and Mod 50 class. I like the set up and my son fits it good, but, I really like the torque of the 4 strokes and feel like they are the future. Is it possible to get CRF50 competitve with the O/I bikes because that is the class he would have to run with the 4-stroke? Also, What if he decides not to race and just trail ride and race Hare Scrambles. I have always done better at woods riding and we have lots of trails here. Please help me make a decision.

I would go with the XR50, i noticed they have a higher seat height than the kawasaki 50 and the suzuki 50. I cannot believe how many parts there are online for bikes. I can show you some web sites for mods.

If you look, there are so many parts for the crf and the xr50. You cannot find more parts for any other bike. I think you will get your moneys worth. Your son will have fun just trail riding with this bike. When your son outgrows it, you can keep it for a pit bike. well, i hope i hepled out.

I'd go with the CFR50/XR50 or by next season maby a CFR/XR70 it isn't much higher in the seat and you'll have to buy it sooner than later.
