Georgia DS ( MegaDeTh)

Recommended Posts

MegaDeth,

What county did you tag your bike? I'm preparing to try to tag my KLX650-A... and hoping like hell the bozo's at the tag office overlook/confuse themselves with the KLX650-C, and let mine pass. All I'll have is a replacement MSO & a rabbits foot.

I tagged an IT490 in Clarke county a long time ago, but I had a title for it (not MSO).

Originally dawlton but now Henry

does your MSO say "for offroad use only" ?

if it does, you might get lucky

if it does not, you can get one, they have a form that you can get noterized

"was it built for offroad use only"

"more than 50cc's"

"more than 2 hp"

Hey MegaDeTH, I heard a rumor that they were checking VINs. Is that not the case? Got a WR I'd love to tag.

They did not check my vin, but it had an existing georgia title.

I'll try to scan the form tomorrow, the form is made so it can be signed & stamped

the main killer, the MSO has print right across the top "for offroad use only" that's what they look for

thanks for the reply. having a title is the key. since i don't have one, i'm afraid that they run the VIN when applying for the title, and that the VIN signals OHV only. just a rumor though.

What's your MSO say? You must have one, if you dont they will make you order a replacement

I dont know if they have an auto check system setup yet

you can still go the vermont route, it's harder but you can still do it

If you get one from Vermont your tag will be a VT tag. I wonder if there is a back way in using the VT tag to get a GA tag?
