The seventh Maxxis U.S. Open will be televised nationally on NBC Sunday, October 24, 2004 (4:30-6:00 PM EST) immediately following NBC’s coverage of the Subway 500 NASCAR race from Martinsville. The announcement was made by Charlie Mancuso, President, Clear Channel Entertainment - Motor Sports and Jon Miller, Senior Vice President, NBC Sports.

Uh-oh. That's not good. So if there are more than the normally-anticipated 30 crashes and yellow cautions, the left-left-left-left race may run long and step on the SX coverage? Sigh. :cry:

I suggest they televise only the last 10 laps of the NASCAR race and save everyone about 2 hours. Then there's plenty of time for the SX race! :cry:
