Where 2 Ride In Big Bear, CA

Recommended Posts

Grab one of the maps from one of the local mountain bike stores of the Discovery center in Big Bear. Get the one with the trail numbers. These are like street names and you will see trails that take you in just about every direction. There are lots of great places to ride up there.

You can start 7 miles north of Fawnskin (NW corner of Big Bear Lake) at Hanna Flats. There are trails that will take you to Lake Arrowhead, Green Valley Lake, and Valley. I'm sure there are other places you can go as well. It's great riding up there and some great technical trails.

Just wondering what trail it is you are riding

from bear to arrowhead? I did a lot of riding

in arrowhead this summer (pilot rock, miller canyon

silverwood ) the trails that head NE (willow creek,

deep creek, squints ranch ) are closed from fire/

mudslide. Its my understanding they wont be open for

a long time. This is a good area to ride and Id

love to expand on it.

any suggestions would help.

thanks

Brian

I'll be up there this weekend riding. I'll let you know what I find.

Want to hook up? I plan on going up too. I usually stage halfway down the road to Crab Flats (off the Green Valley road) and do a 60 mile loop (I am dual sported though). This is assuming they don't close the area down 'cause of all the rain.
