Chain / Sprocket Options

Recommended Posts

I have an '02. It has the stock setup...13/50. I am looking for about 10 mph faster with a new setup. Will 13/48 work for me? Can I go any lower than 48 on the rear? How large can I go in the front? Anybody got any info on this? Thanks.

Hey Red

I had an 02 and ran 13/49, worked great

this should give you the extra mph you want

a 48 will fit but you may have problems w/

your chain slider/guide

a 14/53 combo will give you just a little more top as well

to figure the the ratio just divide the numbers

not sure how many mph the 2 teeth would get you but as far as options go, Iron Man makes fronts in 13-15 and rears in 43-53. Buy some of the cheapo Primary Drive solid steel sprockets from Rocky Mountain (about $15 ea) to figure out what you want, then get the Iron Mans.
