just recently bought a KLX 400e 2003 model,green sticker.

I read how to uncork it in a magazine, so I did. I pulled the snorkel out and put a 155 jet into it. Does this sound right?? It runs alot better now and you can feel the change in HP. I also read that you can use a hole saw and open the exhaust tip. What will this do for performance?? and what size hole saw? Will it make the bike louder? and do I have to re-jet it? Someone please help,is there anything I can do

to get more umph out of it without spending a whole lot of $$$. Dont get me wrong, this bike is awesome,best dam bike

Get the case savers from the TT store & radiator guards from:

You can punch a hole in the case with a simple getoff and the radiators

are expensive to replace. Cheap insurance for both. ? :cry:

Just my 2 cents, but I don't think doing this mod adds anything to the performance side. It just makes the exhaust tone deeper. Better to keep your stock exhaust and get an aftermarket can. Kawidual is right, you need to protect your cases w/CFC guards, add a skid plate and radiator braces. Good luck. ?
