Race in Springfield IL, Oct 31st - Gateway Supermoto

Recommended Posts

Check it out, check it out!

As many of you know, Gateway Supermoto is hosting their second day of racing at Springfield Illinois' Mid State Kart Club track on Sunday Oct. 31st.

We've already received numerous pre-registrations, and at $30 for your first class entry, it's a deal that's hard to beat.

Like out August 1 event, we'll have the dirt section, weather permitting. Also, like last time, we're going to have an "Open Money" event paying out at least 100% to the top half of the field plus 1. (For example, in August, we paid out $400, split among the first six finishers out of 10 competitors)

Those of you who have raced at Springfield know that the facility is great... the track has outstanding grip, and features a good mix of fast and slow corners. Also, the Kart Club's concession stand sells some of the best track-side food available anywhere.

Just like last time, we'll be conducting racer interviews, taking lots of pictures, and providing a top-notch write-up for Cycle News. With the low low entry fee and the great publicity, this is a can't-miss opportunity for anyone wanting to build or strengthen their sponsorship opportunities.

We've got some new stuff this time too: An additional class has been added, the Vet open, any bike allowed, rider must be 35 years or older. Also, we've simplified the class structure for all the big bike classes, so that they're based purely on displacement.

The last one was a blast, this could be even bigger, and even better. Riders, you've got a week to send in your pre-registration to get $20 off your first class entry.

So bring your bad selves to Springfield IL on the 31st. We'll see you there.

For spectators who want to see supermoto racing up close and not pay a dime... You can be a Gateway Supermoto crew member! We'll pay your $10 track entry fee and buy you the best trackside lunch you've ever had. In return, you get the best seats in the house for the racing action.
