Kennedy Meadows*

I was looking at kennedy meadows and it looks like a great place to ride but I dont know how to get there ?. Does anyone know directions from orange county?

Whichever freeway you prefer (57 to 210; 60; 10; or 91) to the 15N. Exit 395. Follow to Pearsonville (top off gas here!) About 1 1/2 - 2 miles just outside of pearsonville, go left on Nine Mile Canyon (prepare to climb!) When you get to the general store (25-30 miles) bear left - another few miles to Fish Creek or Troy Meadows campgrounds.

Check with the ranger station before heading up as weather plays a big role in what trails may be open.

I'd recommend getting rid of the rear Dual Sport Tire before you go. ?

Also strong bark busters. Saved my hand a couple of times up there. Awesomely fun switch backky tree threading fun! Notice all the tight spots where the bark is ripped off the trees from handle bars. Be careful! Have fun

Be sure to call ahead to 760-376-3781-2 for the recorded info to make sure the mountian is open as they will close the mountian when they get snow. They won't re-open until Memorial weekend!

From the looks of it they should have gotten some! ?

Thx for the info guys are the trails up there single track double track or what and what is the difficulty level

Mostly singletrack and varies from intermediate to advanced. Nothing you could really call beginner trails besides the Monache Jeep Trail.

Hey!

Where you rode with us last weekend is a pretty good training ground for KM, however there are far more rocks imbedded in the trails up there. There are many choices of trails though. Some are not that hard, but they are hard to do quickly!

It is a great place to ride.
