Recommended Posts

If I were to buy this kit would it be best to buy a stock xr50 bike for all the extra parts I will still need (motor etc)or can I build it cheaper buy buying the parts individually?

Still probably best buying a stocker to build from. As there are many parts that can be hard to find. And if not for anything, mostly for the motor. Just find a older model for cheap. As if you plan on getting that BBR Perimeter frame, you are gonna burn through some cash real quick .

I've had the same question. Has anyone built a "50" from "scratch"???

I started off with a XR50 then i kept buying parts for it and ended up putting the original one back together So yes it can be done and this way you don't have to buy everything all at once and you can take your time finding stock parts for ultra cheep. All together I spent about $250 Cdn to put the bike back together and then sold the bike.
