Shorter Kickstarter?

Anyone know of a shorter kickstart lever for the CRF250? How 'bout one off a CR125?

I suppose you could modify the one you have with welding equipment. May I ask what benefit a shorter kickstarter has?

I think it would hit the header if it was shorter.

Benefits would be easier starting and it wouldn't come down on the foot peg such that the peg puts a hole in your boots.

I do, as other have, gotten a good sized hole in my bot from the CRF250.

PC makes a shorter kickstarter for RMZ/KXF for the same reason.

Helping a friend out with posting here. It is to accomodate a shorter leg...

I know people were/are putting a KX125 kickstarter on the KXF250.

OK. My kickstarter has a good size chink it from me hitting the peg. If it breaks in two I'm going to get some help getting it welded back together again. Shortening might not be such a bad idea. Good luck ?

shortening it will make it harder to start because you'll have less torque.
