2004 YZ250F Fork Problem

Recommended Posts

The lower fork tubes on my bike are loose. I think is the bushings or slide metal. What would cause them to wear out so fast? I change the fork oil every 3 months and do every thing by the book. I checked them 2 weeks ago and they were fine.I checked them befor my race this weedend and they were loose. What is going on? 😢

Check to make sure the base valve is tight. In the bottom of your lower fork tubes where your compression valve stack goes, these should be tight and held in place with some locktite. If these come loose, your in for some serious damage! Maniac 😢

Check the big bolt on the top of the triple clamp. On YZ's, it is common for this bolt to work loose. This will cause the forks to become loose. Use lock-tite.
