trick to installing yosh slipon to header?

Recommended Posts

i took off my Yosh RS3 slip-on and am now trying to put it back together. I can't get the slipon to go on the header. I can twist it at little and get it started but its taking forever. It can't be this tough. Should I put wd40 or something on the header?

does that exhaust use the stock exhaust gasket (where the header meets muffler) if it does and you squished it in, you may need to buy a new gasket.

I had to put my header in the freezer, then lube it up and hammered the silencer on with a rubber mallet. Tight fit!

Do you have the header attached to the head already? If so, loosen it and try again...might not be going on straight.

I finally got it on. Used some wd40 and had a friend help me. We just had to keep twisting the midpipe and header until it went on. Really tight fit. At least I know it won't leak 😢
