Thoughts on valve/head issues

After reading MT's post here:

I'm thinking that the problem is the head not the valves. I havn't had any problems yet going on almost a year, but if I do I think I'll do the WMR head swap for the bronze seats and good guides, BUT I think I'll put stock valves and springs in it(OK maybe aftermarket springs). Any thought on this, anybody tried something like this?
