front disk guard?

Recommended Posts

Once I have my front suspension settings dialed, I put it back on. In the desert it helps keep brush out of the caliper.

A few years back, I did a very muddy sloppy hair scramble with my brother. Both of us on '02 CRF450's. He had his off, I had mine on. It was impressive to me how much slop and goo was NOT in my caliper/pads compared to his. All this dirt/sand/mud is ABRAISIVE and helps wear things out at an exponential rate. So ever since then, I'm a believer of running one. my 2 cts. 😢

Mines off too, took it off the first day, but my bike mostly sees MX tracks only.

If I knew it was going to be a super muddy day, I may put it back on.

Mine off. It rarely gets muddy around here. Just replaced my 1st set of front pads and 2nd set of rears @120hrs.

I've got a BraKing oversize rotor on mine, so the stock guard wouldn't fit anyway, but I don't ride in rocks and brush, plus it's easier to clean at the end of the day.
