Why stainless steel?

Recommended Posts

Why are people using stainless stell valves? What are the advantages? And how much do they cost?

No one is using them yet on the CRF250's anyways. They should be ready in a couple of weeks. The advantages is that they are alot more durable than the stock Titanium valves which *SHOULD* eliminate the valve recession problem that many people seem to be having.

I believe stainless steel can take much more heat then the titanium coating on the stock valves. I do not think they are effected as badly by the heat? They are just more solid all around.
